InstaLift
Introduction
InstaLift is a safe and innovative lifting procedure most commonly used to improve mid-face and lower face sagging. It is also highly effective for lifting and contouring of the body (breast, buttock, arms, knees for example). Instalift is composed of non-permanent, biocompatible sutures integrated with innovative, bidirectional cones that provide the dramatic lifting and repositioning effect.
Dr. Liu is a certified provider for all InstaLift procedures and trains providers nationally through the P.A.L.E.T.T.E. Live Injection Training Programs for advanced techniques in aesthetic procedures.
What is InstaLift and how does it work?
InstaLift is composed of Polyglycolide/L-lactide (PLGA), a well-known biomedical copolymer that is generally well-tolerated in the body. It has a long history of use as a resorbable suture and has been extensively studied. PLGA safely and effectively integrates in the subcutaneous layer of the soft tissue and creates a collagen stimulation response of new structural support, which sustains long after the temporary material is gently dissolved by the body. Although the material dissolves within 4-6 months, the results of the procedure frequently last 1-2 years.
Results and patient satisfaction with InstaLift has been overwhelmingly positive. Not all patients are candidates for InstaLift and proper patient selection and non-selection is critical for desirable outcomes.
Is the procedure painful?
InstaLift procedures are very well tolerated and only small amounts of local anesthetic are needed to provide comfort to patients.
What is recovery like?
The most common type of recovery is soreness and minor swelling for a few days. Numerous patients experience immediate results with little to no visible downtime, but they will feel soreness for a few days.
